This is an absolute encoder with an SSI communication protocol, featuring a 65mm outer diameter.
In July, we were commissioned by a metallurgical company to develop an alternative solution for this product. The CEV65M-01360 encoder is relatively simpler, as it solely uses the SSI communication protocol. This is a standard encoder communication protocol, which we are quite adept at handling.
Let me briefly introduce the entire process:
Firstly, the flange is machined according to the original product's dimensions. We produce a 64.8mm flange through our machining center. This is a crucial part, corresponding to the installation size.
Additionally, there is the size of the shaft diameter. It is a 10mm shaft diameter, which we also machine and keep ready for use. The difference is that we use a 58mm aluminum alloy housing to replace the 65mm housing. This part is a bit different, but it does not affect usage and is not part of the installation size.
Next is the wiring method, which involves a 12-pin connector.
With everything prepared, we begin assembly. Matching and installing with the SSI encoder circuit assembly from the 58 series is all that's needed. In this way, the mechanical hardware is fully compatible.
Finally, after the technical staff's installation and testing, a perfect alternative solution product is born.
Overall, the alternative solution for this encoder is relatively easy to implement. In fact, there are quite a few encoders on the market that meet these parameters. The main issue is the corresponding installation size, which is just a matter of the flange. Once that is resolved, we have achieved the substitution.
I will conclude the discussion on the alternative solution for the CEV65M-01360 product today. If anyone has needs in this area, they can contact us. Contact information is provided at the end of the text.
