Today, we encountered a less frequently handled model: AMG81P29Z0. This is an absolute encoder that operates on the Profibus protocol. When I say less frequently handled, I'm referring to the substitution of this particular model. In fact, we have already done quite a few replacements for similar products.
The flange size of the AMG81P29Z0 is 115mm, with a solid shaft size of 11mm. Does that sound familiar? Yes, many products have such dimensional data. The resolution of this product is 13*16bit. With this, it is essentially the same size as the AMG11P29Z0.
The customer indicated that they could no longer purchase the original product and hoped to configure a substitute. With previous experience, the configuration of this substitute is quite straightforward.
We have standard products of Profibus protocol absolute encoders, including the 58 series and the 78 series. Simply re-manufacturing an adapter flange of 115mm is enough; no other fundamental changes are required. In this way, the issue can be perfectly resolved.
That's right, this alternative solution can be resolved by just changing an adapter flange. Does it sound particularly simple? In reality, it is. For us, it's not a complex challenge.
The production and delivery of this encoder substitute were completed very quickly. Although inquiries for this encoder are not numerous, I still think it's necessary to write a record and publish it. In case other friends need it, it can still provide corresponding help.
Friends who are familiar with encoders can observe some products on the market; many encoder products can be interchanged with each other.
If you also have this need and it is not being resolved, then come to me.
